Karnataka SSLC Maths Mid-Term Exam 2025-26 Released

The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has released the Karnataka SSLC (Class 10) Maths Mid-Term Examination 2025-26. The question paper, along with the answer key, is available for download on the official website: https://kseab.karnataka.gov.in.

The question paper is a comprehensive test of students' understanding of various mathematical concepts. It consists of a combination of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Short Answer, and Long Answer questions. The topics covered include algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and mensuration.

Question Paper Overview

The question paper is balanced, with a moderate difficulty level. It tests students' grasp of fundamental concepts, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills covered in the first half of the syllabus.

Question 1 in the Maths Question Paper asks for the degree of the polynomial p(x) = 2x^3 + 5x - 6. The correct answer is (B) 3.

Question 9 in the question paper asks for the statement of the Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic.

Question 13 asks for the value of k if the product of the zeroes of the polynomial p(x) = 2x^2 - 3x + k is 3. The value of k is 6.

Question 14 asks for the second term of an arithmetic progression if the sum of three consecutive terms is 21.

Question 15 asks for the cost of a bat if 3 bats and 2 balls together cost Rs. 700, and the cost of a ball is Rs. 50.

Exam Details

The exam is scheduled for 16th September, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 1:45 PM. The total theory marks for the exam are 80.

The mid-term paper offers students, teachers, and guardians a valuable opportunity to review, evaluate readiness, and identify areas in need of improvement well ahead of the final examinations. It serves as a useful tool for students to assess their progress and focus their studies effectively.

The Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic states that every composite number can be expressed as a product of primes, and this factorisation is unique, apart from the order in which the prime factors occur. This theorem is a fundamental principle in number theory and has numerous applications in mathematics and other fields.

The KSEAB encourages students to make the most of this opportunity and prepare thoroughly for the exam. Good luck to all the students!
