Agricultural Technician School Opens in Hohenlohe

The Academy for Agricultural and Domestic Science in Kupferzell has introduced a new course of study, the Technician for Agriculture, starting from September 15, 2022. This move is part of a broader initiative by the Baden-Württemberg government to strengthen agricultural education and develop future-oriented locations for vocational schools in the field.

Prior to the introduction of the Technician for Agriculture, the Academy for Agricultural and Domestic Science in Kupferzell offered the Economist and the Master of Agricultural Science in the form of a classic winter school. Now, with the addition of this new course, the school's portfolio is supplemented by another building block.

The Technician for Agriculture course is organized in full-time mode over two years and covers a comprehensive curriculum. In addition to business and production-related skills, professional English, mathematics, and business communication will be taught. Upon successful completion, students will qualify for various career opportunities, including running their own agricultural business, consulting, research, agricultural trade, contract farming, associations, or administration.

The Agricultural Education Center Emmendingen and the Oberschwaben Cluster, located outside of Kupferzell, are among the additional future-oriented locations for vocational schools in agriculture, as defined by the cabinet decision of July 2022. The Oberschwaben Cluster, with locations in Sigmaringen, Biberach, and Ravensburg, is another such location.

The cabinet decision aims to further develop vocational schools for agriculture, expanding the options beyond the Academy for Agricultural and Domestic Science in Kupferzell. The Academy itself is one of the three central locations for agricultural vocational schools in Baden-Württemberg.

For more information about the Technician for Agriculture course or any other agricultural education matters, citizens can reach out to the press office of the Ministry of Food, Rural Areas, and Consumer Protection via email. The Ministry is responsible for the press office regarding this press release.

The expansion of offerings at the Academy for Agricultural and Domestic Science in Kupferzell will further strengthen it as an agricultural center in northern Baden-Württemberg. This move is expected to contribute significantly to the development of the agricultural sector in the region.

Later entry into the Technician for Agriculture class is possible under certain conditions. For details, interested individuals are advised to contact the Academy directly. The Academy for Agricultural and Domestic Science in Kupferzell looks forward to welcoming new students to its Technician for Agriculture course and contributing to the growth of the agricultural sector in Baden-Württemberg.
