The Empowering Women in Agrifood 2025 program has a spotlight on agri-food startups led by women, hailing from across Romania. To qualify, these companies must be under three years old and haven't grabbed more than EUR 60,000 in funding from private or public resources during that period.
EWA participants engage in entrepreneurial events, networking sessions with experts, mentors, and fellow agri-food entrepreneurs. This active community, consisting of over 100 mentors from all corners of Europe, forges an invaluable international context for growth and collaboration.

EIT Food isn't just a tasty treat—it's Europe's largest food innovation venture, stakeholders from the food industry, startups, research centers, and universities joining forces across the continent. Note: The EWA program is a 6-month intensive journey, primarily targeted at women entrepreneurs with business ideas or existing startups in the agri-food sector, focusing on 13 countries such as Albania, Estonia, Greece, Italy, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Türkiye, and Ukraine. Participants receive personalized online training, one-on-one mentoring, business coaching, networking opportunities, financial support, and community and confidence building. The program magnifies its objectives by fostering healthier lives through sustainable food systems, achieving net-zero environmental impact, and promoting a fair and resilient food ecosystem, thereby empowering women to be pillars of change in agri-food innovation.
