Archaeological Discoveries and Unusual Activities on the Coast of Suffolk: Mini-beast Hunts, Mud Art, and Mysterious Bones Unearthed

Jenny Lawton, a Marine Biology and Ecology graduate from Cheshire, has embarked on an exciting journey in Suffolk, UK. Her passion for nature, nurtured since childhood, has led her to work with children and expand her knowledge in the region.

Lawton found an internship that she believed would be a great experience, and it has proven to be just that. She has worked with toddlers on mini-beast hunting and mud painting, litter picking, and hunting for signs of spring with young wardens. Moreover, she has also engaged with 60 children on Sizewell beach, teaching them about marine life and the consequences of plastic pollution.

One of her most notable achievements was discovering a large bone on Sizewell beach, which she took to the Ipswich museum for identification. This find not only showcased her keen eye for detail but also her dedication to understanding the natural world.

In the coming months, Lawton plans to provide updates on her experiences, including her participation in upcoming events such as the Wild Beach Leader course, the First Light Festival, and the Suffolk Show. The First Light Festival and the Suffolk Show are set to be particularly exciting, as Lawton expresses her enthusiasm for exploring Suffolk and learning more about its unique environment.

Lawton's career choice was influenced by her three summers spent in America working at a children's camp. Inspired by the opportunity to inspire the next generation to love nature, she has channeled this passion into her work in Suffolk. Despite some weather-related challenges, the children's willingness to brave the elements and their excitement for learning has left a lasting impression on her.

As she continues her journey, Lawton intends to share her updates through her blog posts, inviting readers to join her on this exciting adventure in Suffolk. Her dedication to nature, children, and education makes her an inspiring figure in the world of Marine Biology and Ecology.

Jenny Lawton, having embarked on her journey in Suffolk, UK, is now considering a new venture in the form of a Forest School program. This environment-focused education-and-self-development approach aligns perfectly with her passion for nature, as she strives to instill a love for the outdoors in young wardens. Furthermore, as she plans to integrate science, particularly environmental-science, into the school's curriculum, she envisions a holistic health-and-wellness lifestyle for its students, fostering their connection with the natural world.
