Valentina herself joined the team, eager to dive headfirst into a new discipline. In 2012, she completed her education at the Polzunov BTI, majoring in "Food Production Technology." Fast forward to 2018, she graduated with honors and ventured into her career. She spent three years working at the Bochkarevsky Brewery as a laboratory engineer in production, where her interest in production blossomed. Following her maternity leave, Valentina sought a change and yearned for a hands-on role as a technologist.

"After my maternity leave, the idea of working in a laboratory no longer excited me. I had always wanted to work in production," Valentina explains. "I joined 'Blago-Biisk' as an engineer-technologist on March 9, 2023, and a mere year later, I was promoted to the position of chief technologist of the Biysk site."

Making the leap to a new field was intimidating, as she faced a barrage of fresh responsibilities and accountabilities. But Valentina realized she was ready to rise to the challenge. "At that time, our plant director, Alexei Vasilievich Bondarev—who's now playing a significant role in the development of the 'Blago' plant in the Rostov region—gave me a chance as a technologist engineer with lots of potential for the future," she recalls with a laugh.

Valentina threw herself into the task, drawing inspiration from consultations with technologists from other 'Blago' facilities in Armavir and Omsk. With a combination of Soviet textbooks and hard work, she absorbed and applied the necessary knowledge to master the plant's technological process. "Our plant is unique compared to others," explains the chief technologist of the Biysk platform. "I didn't come as a seasoned specialist, so I had to learn many things from the ground up—and during this journey, I had invaluable support from our then chief engineer, and now our director, Sergey Viktorovich Toropchin."

Under her leadership, numerous methods have been developed at the "Blago-Biisk" plant that guarantee consistently high-quality products. Thanks to Valentina and her team's relentless efforts, the plant has reached maximum productivity without compromising the quality of the final product. Among her personal accomplishments, she's reduced production losses on various production lines and pioneered a technology for extracting high-protein meals from low-protein source materials.

"We're not just a press plant, but an oil extraction plant," Valentina declares confidently. "Our intricate process involves the use of a specialized food-grade solvent. The catch is that this solvent is staggeringly expensive—the less we consume, the lower our production costs for extracted oil. The success of our plant, our employees, and our production department hinges on minimizing this consumption. We aspire to cut it by at least another two times."

"I couldn't imagine living without this plant," she admits. So her goals are simple: growth and progress.
