Bollinger Electric Vehicles Begin Deliveries in North Carolina via EO Charging, in Partnership with Sourcewell

In a significant move towards sustainable transportation, Bollinger Motors and EO Charging have joined forces to provide comprehensive electrification solutions for commercial fleet customers. This strategic collaboration aims to make the transition to electric vehicles (EVs) more affordable and efficient for commercial fleets.

Strategic Collaboration for Cost-Effective Electrification

The partnership focuses on providing affordable and efficient fleet electrification solutions. Bollinger Motors’ Class 4 all-electric chassis cab truck, the Bollinger B4, is a primary vehicle supported under this partnership. The truck is designed with a robust, patented Quad Bend frame that houses a 158-kWh battery pack inside the frame wells, delivering a combination of safety, capability, and urban maneuverability, such as a tight turning radius and powerful pickup performance.

EO Charging, specialists in electric vehicle charging infrastructure, aim to facilitate seamless, scalable, and cost-efficient fleet charging solutions tailored to the operational needs of commercial fleets using Bollinger’s electric trucks.

Tailored EV Infrastructure Solutions

The partnership between Bollinger Motors and EO Charging is designed to accelerate the adoption of electric commercial vehicles by fleets, reducing barriers related to charging costs and infrastructure logistics. EO Charging’s solutions will be integrated with the Bollinger B4 Chassis Cab to facilitate a smooth transition to electric vehicles for fleet operators.

Enhanced Fleet Electrification Capability

Combining Bollinger’s electric vehicle technology with EO Charging’s charging infrastructure is expected to provide a significant boost to the adoption of electric commercial vehicles by fleets. This collaboration benefits fleet operators by providing vehicles and charging technology that are optimized for commercial use cases and cost-effective operations.

Public Sector Access to Bollinger's EVs

Meanwhile, Mullen Automotive's all-electric commercial vehicles (Mullen ONE and Mullen THREE) are now available for public sector purchasing through National Auto Fleet Group's (NAFG) Sourcewell contract. This approval allows government agencies and educational institutions to acquire Mullen's EVs without lengthy bidding processes.

The delivery of the Mullen ONE to Orange County, North Carolina, for use by the Solid Waste Management Department aligns with Orange County's Climate Action Plan to transition its fleet to all-electric by 2025. CEO David Michery highlighted the streamlined purchasing process as a key advantage for municipal customers.

Global EV Charging Expertise

EO Charging has already deployed over 100,000 charging units globally and serves major clients like Amazon, UPS, and Microsoft. This vast experience in EV charging infrastructure will undoubtedly contribute to the success of this partnership.

NAFG also offers point-of-sale vouchers through the California Air Resource Board (CARB) HVIP program. The Mullen THREE, with a $68,500 MSRP, may qualify for up to $45,000 in HVIP vouchers and a $7,500 federal tax credit, reducing its effective cost to under $17,000.

In summary, the partnership strategically aligns Bollinger Motors’ innovative all-electric commercial trucks with EO Charging’s expertise in EV charging infrastructure to deliver accessible, reliable, and scalable fleet electrification solutions. This collaboration benefits fleet operators by providing vehicles and charging technology that are optimized for commercial use cases and cost-effective operations.
