British embassy in Buenos Aires seeks Communications Officer candidate
The British Embassy in Buenos Aires is currently recruiting a Communications Officer to join its Political and Communications Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing digital channels, designing the Embassy's digital strategy, and assisting with media management at Embassy events.
To be considered for the role, applicants must have strong English language skills, fluency in Spanish, and the ability to communicate effectively on social media in either language. Experience in managing websites and social media is required, with experience in photography and video production being an advantage.
A communications-related degree would also be an advantage, as would experience in public relations, event management, or journalism. The candidate should be a proactive and flexible team player, capable of building their own network of contacts in relevant sectors, particularly within the media.
The successful candidate will provide monthly reports for evaluation, work under the Head of Communications, and adhere to the Embassy's branding guidelines. They will also be expected to develop and redesign new material for staff to use.
The job is being offered on a full-time permanent contract. The starting salary will be based on experience and qualifications, with the successful candidate entitled to 20 working days of leave a year and 14 days of public holidays (a mixture of British and Argentine public holidays).
