Call to Attend: 38th Traffic Education Day at Heinz-Hilpert Theatre, themed "If I Stand Out, I'll Be Seen Quicker!"

On Thursday, September 24, 2025, the city of Lünen, along with several local organisations, will host the 38th annual Road Safety Day at the Heinz Hilpert Theater. The event, aimed at primary school children, will feature two performances at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

The day's proceedings will be attended by various dignitaries, including the chairman of the Lünen Traffic Safety Council, the board of Sparkasse an der Lippe, the director of traffic education and mobility for the primary schools of Unna district, the management of TRD-Reisen Fischer, and the head of the cultural office of the city of Lünen. Notably, Police Director Dirk Happe and Police Inspector Andreas Tull will represent the police force.

The theme of this year's event is "If I shine bright, I'm seen quickly!", which focuses on educating children about the challenges of the darker seasons. The play will be an entertaining and educational spectacle, featuring Police Dog Moses, puppets Ben and Hannah, and other participants.

Safety on the roads is another key topic of the day. The traffic puppet stage of the Traffic Accident Prevention and Victim Support (VUP/O) unit will present a play about visibility on the roads.

Approximately 950 first-graders with their chaperones from Lünen's twelve primary schools will be the focus of the day. Media representatives are cordially invited to attend the first event at 10:00 AM.

The local police district will accompany the primary schools to the theater, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all attendees. For those interested in attending, please RSVP via email to [email protected].

This year's Road Safety Day promises to be an informative and enjoyable event for all involved, with the aim of promoting road safety awareness among primary school children in Lünen.
