Career Event and Professional Opportunities Exposition in 2025
The 2025 Job Fair and Career Expo, an event aimed at helping individuals enter the workforce, change careers, or seek new opportunities, is set to take place on October 22, 2025, from 11am - 3pm. This year's expo will be held at the WISH Center at the Hybla Valley Community Center, located at 7950 Audubon Ave, Alexandria, VA 22306.
The event is a collaborative effort between Fairfax County Neighborhood and Community Services, the Fairfax County Department of Family Services, the Workforce Innovation Skills Hub (WISH), and United Community. The partnership aims to provide participants with practical tools, new confidence, and valuable connections to help them succeed.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet directly with local companies and explore open positions. The specific companies attending the career fair are not yet listed, but they are expected to include employers who are actively hiring along the Route 1 Corridor and beyond.
In addition to one-on-one interactions with potential employers, the event will offer breakout sessions designed to build skills. These sessions will focus on a variety of topics, including job search strategies, resume writing, interview techniques, and more.
Furthermore, the event will include opportunities to participate in discussions about available community resources. Attendees will also have the chance to network with representatives from county and local organizations.
