Commemorating Traditional Artisanship, Expanding International Reach: Minister of State Speaks to Graduates at NIFT Bhopal's 13th Graduation Ceremony
In a grand ceremony held at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre, the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, celebrated the graduation of its 14th batch, popularly known as the class of 2025.
Minister of State for Textiles, Pabitra Margherita, addressed the students, offering words of encouragement and advice as they embarked on their new journeys.
Tanu Kashyap, the Director General of NIFT, spoke during the ceremony and urged graduates to enter the world as conscious designers. Kashyap, a constant pillar of strength for the institute, reminded graduates that design is not just about creativity, but also about responsibility.
A total of 91 students were awarded degrees across three disciplines: Fashion and Lifestyle Accessory Design (F&LAD), Textile Design (TD), and Master of Fashion Management (MFM).
In the AD category, Riya Jhavar was awarded the NIFT Best Academic Performance Award. The TD category saw multiple recipients of this honour, with Shaily Jain, Modita Shah, and Riddhi Jain all receiving the award. Sia Marwah was recognised for her exceptional academic performance in the MFM category.
The Bhopal campus of NIFT was praised by Kashyap as a vibrant learning hub for creative minds. The campus has consistently produced talented graduates who have made significant contributions to the fashion industry.
The ceremony marked a milestone for the students, signifying the culmination of their hard work and dedication. As they step into the world, they carry with them the vision of NIFT and the hope of creating a sustainable and responsible fashion industry.
