The decision to resume the election was made at an emergency meeting of the election commission, which took place at the office of the Rucsu treasurer on the 20th of August.

In preparation for the election, nomination forms for the Rucsu candidates will be distributed on the 24th, 25th, and 26th of August. However, it was recently announced that the distribution of these forms has been postponed, with no new date announced yet.

Candidates wishing to contest in the Rucsu election will have until the 28th and 29th of August to submit their nomination papers. The scrutiny of these papers will take place on the 31st of August and the 1st of September.

The preliminary candidate list for the Rucsu election will be published on the 2nd of September, followed by the announcement of the final list of candidates on the 4th of September. The final voter list, which includes 24,892 students eligible to vote, was published yesterday. The list consists of 9,741 female and 15,151 male students.

The nomination fees for Rucsu and senate representatives have been fixed at Tk500, while the fee for hall union elections is Tk400. The polling for the Rucsu election, hall unions, and senate student representatives is scheduled for the 15th of September.
