Commencement of Enrollment for Children's Village Initiates
The city of Nordhorn, Germany, is gearing up for the return of the popular Children's City event, known as NOHhausen, during the autumn holidays in 2025. This year marks the 13th edition of the annual event, which invites children from grades 4, 5, and 6 to participate in an immersive role-playing game.
The event, themed "A Journey Around the World", will take place at the Deegfeld School Center in Nordhorn from Tuesday, October 14 to Friday, October 17, 2025. Registration for the Children's City NOHhausen is currently open and can be done exclusively online, with registrations closing on Thursday, September 25, 2025.
During the event, the children will live independently, supervised by employees of the city of Nordhorn, and will have the opportunity to elect a mayor and city council. They will then actively shape city life, creating a city with various businesses such as a city administration, post office, bank, kiosk, craft businesses, fairground, newspaper, and more.
Participation in the Children's City NOHhausen costs 90 euros and includes catering. Approximately 80 children are expected to participate in building and living in the Children's City NOHhausen. On Friday, October 17, from 3 pm, parents, siblings, and all interested parties are invited to a city festival in the Children's City.
