Commission awards funding to cultivate an innovative youth training program.
The city portal of Essen has announced that it is accepting applications for the "Ehrenamtsstipendium für junge Engagierte" until 31 October 2025. This stipend is offered to young, committed residents of Essen who are currently in school, vocational training, studying, or completing a voluntary social year in 2026.
To apply, interested individuals must be between 18 and 27 years old as of 2026 and must be active volunteers in an association, federation, or similar institution based in Essen. Applicants cannot already be receiving other funding, such as the Deutschlandstipendium.
Recipients will maintain regular contact with the Citizen Participation and Volunteer Affairs department of the city portal.
