Development of traffic infrastructure within a new school district

The city is currently undergoing significant changes with the ongoing construction of a new roundabout for a secondary school, scheduled to be completed on 28th May. This roundabout will be located at Theodor-Heuss-Straße/Fuggerstraße, where construction work is already underway.

To manage traffic during the construction process, a traffic light system will be installed on both Theodor-Heuss-Straße and the newly named Ludwig-Erhard-Straße, which will serve as the main access points to Roedersteinstraße and the industrial estate. The traffic light system is expected to be in place until approximately mid-August.

The completion of the round building for the new gymnasium at Theodor-Heuss-Straße/Fuggerstraße is anticipated in 2025. However, in the meantime, the turn-off from Theodor-Heuss-Straße onto Fuggerstraße and the turn-off towards Am Burgfrieden will be temporarily closed. A detour has been signposted for traffic to help navigate around the construction site.

With the next phase of construction on the roundabout for the new secondary school set to begin on 2nd June, residents and commuters are advised to plan their routes accordingly. As always, safety is paramount, and following the signposted detours will ensure a smooth journey.
