Discussion sessions for youth kick off at the City's Jobcentre on January 16th
The MITTEndrin community office at Hauptstraße 56 is now the hub for expanded career support services for young people and young adults in Solingen. Starting from January 16, 2023, these services are offered in a factual and solution-oriented manner.
The career counselor from the Solingen employment agency conducts orientation talks twice a month, providing valuable insights and guidance to those seeking direction. The specialists from the "U 25-Team" of the local job center are also available every Thursday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, offering advice on various issues affecting 15- to 25-year-olds. These topics range from school issues and training opportunities to managing stress, substance abuse, and personal finances.
The services provided by the "Team Jugend" of the local job center are tailored to the individual's crisis and personal situation. This includes individual counselling and case management, assistance with overcoming social or psychological barriers, support with job search, training, internships, or educational re-entry, and coordination with other agencies for additional social support. In times of crisis, the team also offers crisis intervention and stabilization.
These orientation talks are open to all interested youth, offering a chance for open and honest discussions about the challenges faced by young people in Solingen. It's important to note that these services are specifically for young people and young adults who are on unemployment benefits and/or in an acute crisis situation.
For precise details about the services offered by the U 25-Team of the Solingen job center or the frequency of visits by the career counselor from the Solingen employment agency, it would be best to contact the Solingen job center directly. We encourage everyone who could benefit from these services to take advantage of this valuable resource in their community.
