DPG's 'From Knowledge to Action' Conference Tackles Teacher Training in Physics

The German Physical Society (DPG) is hosting the 4th Specialist Conference 'From Knowledge to Action' from September 19 to 21, 2025. The event, held at the Physics Center Bad Honnef, aims to tackle key issues in teacher training and physics didactics.

The conference will delve into teaching quantum physics, addressing teacher shortages, and integrating education for sustainable development. A keynote speech by Oliver Wagner, co-director of the Energy Policy Research Area at the Wuppertal Institute, will kick off the event on the first day at 7 p.m. His talk, 'School-based Climate Protection - Education for Sustainable Development Creates a New Beginning for a Good Future for All', promises to set the tone for the conference.

The event is part of the Quantum Year 2025 and serves as a platform for nationwide networking and professional exchange among phase two teacher training specialists.
