The initiative is part of a broader strategy by the Congolese government to digitize public services. A 2023 Ministry audit revealed that nearly 30% of diplomas submitted for verification were fraudulent or unverifiable, severely undermining the credibility of academic qualifications. The blockchain solution makes diploma records immutable and transparent, thus drastically reducing fake certificates in circulation.
The e-Diplôme platform enhances trust and administrative rigor in the Congolese higher education system.
