Duke Kunshan University, a world-class, research-oriented educational institution located in Kunshan, China, has implemented an advanced audio-video system across its campus. The project, spanning 22 buildings and 116 units of Sennheiser's TeamConnect Ceiling 2 (TCC 2) audio technology, aims to provide a hybrid learning environment that caters to both in-person and remote students [1].

The TCC 2, equipped with patented dynamic beamforming technology, is designed to automatically identify speakers' positions and ensure clear voice capture. This cutting-edge technology plays a key role in Duke Kunshan University's hybrid learning environment, offering highly accurate, ultra-narrow dynamic beamforming voice capture from ceiling-mounted microphones [1].

The benefits of TCC 2 in this context are substantial. The ceiling array microphone's ability to form a dynamic beam directly on the active speaker significantly improves audio clarity by eliminating background noise and reverberations commonly found in classrooms [1]. Furthermore, TCC 2 integrates seamlessly with AI-driven camera tracking systems, such as Lumens CamConnect Pro, allowing automatic tracking and framing of the current speaker without the need for manual control or complex setup [1].

In conference rooms at Duke Kunshan University, the TCC 2 is integrated with the Biamp DSP and the Sony PTZ camera tracking functionality to synchronise the speaker's location with the cameras, ensuring that remote participants see and hear the active speaker clearly [1].
