Episcopal Preaching Foundation to Host First Gathering of Lay Preachers
The Episcopal Preaching Foundation is set to host its first-ever Gathering of Lay Preachers. The event, taking place on October 24 and 25, 2025, will bring together lay preachers from across the country for a weekend of inspiration, learning, and community building.
The Gathering will feature talks by renowned speakers, including the Rev. Dr. Tom Long and the Rev. Canon Stephanie Spellers. Attendees can expect to be inspired and fed by their insights and experiences.
A key highlight of the event will be the unveiling of plans for a new national network for lay preachers. Attendees will have the opportunity to contribute to these plans, helping to shape the future of lay preaching in the Episcopal Church.
The event is open to all lay preachers, regardless of experience level. The cost to attend is $35, which covers all meals and materials for the weekend.
The Gathering of Lay Preachers promises to be an enriching and empowering experience for all who attend. With its focus on inspiration, community, and the future of lay preaching, it is an event not to be missed. For more information and registration, visit the Episcopal Preaching Foundation's website.
