Good Things Foundation Founder Helen Milner Steps Down After 15 Years

Helen Milner, the founder and CEO of Good Things Foundation, has stepped down after 15 years at the helm. Under her leadership, the organisation has grown significantly, supporting over 1.3 million people and building a network of over 7,000 organisations. Milner will continue in her board and advisory roles, dividing her time between the UK and Australia.

The Good Things Foundation was established by Milner in 2008. Over the past three years alone, it has supported over 1.3 million people and grown its network to include more than 7,000 organisations. Despite her retirement as CEO, Milner will remain involved in the organisation, serving on its board and in advisory roles.

Following her departure, the search for a new leader is underway. However, no information is available yet on who will take over from Milner. Meanwhile, the organisation continues to make an impact, with its ETIH Innovation Awards 2026 now open for entries. These awards celebrate excellence in global education technology, with a focus on workforce development, AI integration, and innovative learning solutions. Winners will be announced on 14 January 2026 and featured in the first print magazine distributed at BETT 2026.

Liz Williams, the Chair of the Board of Trustees, praised Milner's dedication and achievements. She highlighted Milner's impact on social and economic inclusion, a testament to her leadership over the past 15 years. As the organisation looks to the future, the search for a new leader continues, with the Good Things Foundation set to carry on its mission of supporting communities and promoting digital inclusion.
