IBM & FreeYa Mind Campus Launch Romania's First Quantum Innovation Center
IBM and the FreeYa Mind Campus are collaborating to establish the first IBM Quantum Innovation Center in Romania, the FreeYa Mind, in Iași. Scheduled for completion by 2025, this center aims to foster growth in quantum technology and related fields.
The center will offer courses and workshops on quantum technology, open to students and professionals from diverse backgrounds. Its primary goal is to train professionals in leveraging quantum technology for various sectors, such as medical research, cryptography, and advanced AI algorithms.
Set to be completed in 2026, the center will house advanced research facilities in quantum computing, physics, and engineering. It will also provide access to IBM's quantum technologies and resources via the cloud. Supporting the center is a high-performance underground data center, offering computing and security resources for quantum and AI technologies.
The IBM Quantum Innovation Center FreeYa Mind in Iași is expected to be completed by 2025, bringing quantum technology education and research opportunities to the region. This collaboration between IBM and the FreeYa Mind Campus seeks to develop a multidisciplinary scientific hub in Iași, fostering innovation and growth in quantum technology and related fields.
