In Kazakhstan, the Electronic Labor Exchange Enbek has streamlined the process of short-term professional training for unemployed individuals, focusing on employer-requested professions. According to the Ministry of Labor, all processes for this initiative are now available on the Enbek platform.

Employers can submit requests for in-demand training possibilities for the unemployed through their personal accounts on the platform. By the year 2025, over 1,000 employers had submitted more than 1,800 such requests for training in various institutions.

The unemployed, meanwhile, can choose from these training opportunities via their personal accounts on Enbek. Examples of available courses include seamstress, cook, electrician, confectioner, and more. Applying is facilitated by an electronic digital signature. Now, over 500 unemployed individuals have applied for training, selecting from 172 professions.

Training is organized through a social contract between the unemployed, career center, educational institution, and employer, with the emphasis on securing employment for the trainee upon graduation.

Upon successful completion of the training and passing the qualification exam, a certificate of acquired professional skills is available in the individual's personal account on Enbek.

Notably, this training is fully funded by the state. Trainees receive a stipend and travel assistance. In cases where training is in another town, accommodation expenses are compensated.

The Enbek platform, a unified digital system, connects employers with potential employees by matching job seekers with available positions, ensuring that training programs target in-demand skills. It also offers access to numerous courses and training programs, enabling individuals to hone skills that meet employer demands. Additionally, it integrates employer requests to tailor training programs to specific job market requirements.

Through the platform, the unemployed have access to job postings, allowing them to apply for positions that align with their skills and interests. The system also supports flexible employment options, catering to those seeking part-time or temporary work. Overall, the Enbek platform provides a structured and efficient way for the unemployed to obtain relevant skills and secure employment.
