Indian Schools Adjust Calendars for Festive Season
Schools across various Indian states are adjusting their calendars for the upcoming festive season. Some have announced holidays, while others may be affected by weather alerts.
Telangana students are enjoying a 13-day holiday from September 21 to October 3, 2025. Meanwhile, Odisha schools will be closed from September 29 to October 2, resuming on October 3. Karnataka schools are taking a longer break, from September 20 to October 6, including October 3. In Uttar Pradesh, schools will resume on October 3 after a 4-5 day Dussehra holiday.
Andhra Pradesh schools might remain closed on October 3 due to extended Dussehra holidays or heavy rain alerts. However, no official notification has been released yet, leaving the situation uncertain. Delhi schools will reopen on October 3 after a break from September 29 to October 2. In Bhopal and parts of Madhya Pradesh, schools will remain closed on October 3 as part of a three-day break. Bihar schools are closed from September 27 to October 2, with some districts extending the break till October 5, covering October 3.
As the festive season approaches, schools in different Indian states are adjusting their calendars accordingly. Parents and students are advised to keep an eye on official notifications for any updates or changes in the school schedules.
