Instead of "Posad Reserve" on Predmoshnoi in Krasnoyarsk, there will be "Ploshchad Firstov"
Rewritten Article:
Slated details have emerged about a new project on Peredvizhnaya Square in Krasnoyarsk, replacing the grandiose schemes planned a few years back. It looks like a "Ploshchad Pervykh" – a multifunctional hub for kids and youngsters – is in the works.
Mikhail Kotyukov, the governor of Krasnoyarsk Krai, spilled the beans during a meeting of the supervisory board of the All-Russian social movement for children and youth "Dвижение Первых" (Movement of Firsts) with President Vladimir Putin.
"We've teamed up with the kids to decide on the necessity of creating a modern infrastructure where we could host various educational projects, exchange experiences, and find new solutions. That's why we found the perfect spot in the heart of Krasnoyarsk, on the banks of the Yenisey, to craft a new space for kids and youngsters. For now, we've dubbed it "Ploshchad Pervykh", - the governor revealed.
According to him, the project development has already begun. The complex will feature a smorgasbord of edifices, including a tech creativity center, a "multi-purpose platform for the realization of young talents' ideas", and "a patriotic-themed public space".
Kotyukov also highlighted that the complex will serve as "Dвижение Первых's" headquarters in the heart of Russia.
Putin endorsed the idea and expressed hope that the Krasnoyarsk center would serve as a model for Siberia and the nation.
The Movement of Firsts currently counts around 205K kids and teenagers from the region. Schoolchildren are actively encouraged to join the ranks.
The construction is planned for Krasnoyarsk's centennial in 2028.
Let's take a moment to reminisce about the previous plans for Peredvizhnaya Square, which included a "Поздеев Центр" – a modern exhibition center with unique architecture, as well as a futuristic dance college. An international design contest was underway.
However, the plans for this Center were ultimately scrapped, and the construction that was initiated became the subject of legal wrangling.
Soon enough, it seems, heavy-duty construction will commence on Peredvizhnaya Square in Krasnoyarsk.
