IOC and The Adecco Group extend partnership for Athlete365 Career+ initiative

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has extended its commitment to supporting athletes beyond their sports careers with the continued operation of Athlete365 Career+, an initiative launched in 2005.

Originally known as the IOC Athlete Career Programme, Athlete365 Career+ aims to help athletes maximize their employment opportunities as they transition into life after sports. The programme has been operational since its inception in 2005, with the IOC and The their group collaborating to provide resources and training for athletes.

According to Emma Terho, Chair of the IOC Athletes' Commission, the agreement underlines the IOC's commitment to supporting athletes at every stage of their lives. She stated that the programme is an essential aspect of the IOC's dedication to athletes, considering the challenging moment of transitioning into a new career.

Athlete365 Career+ offers tailored advice, workshops, learning tools, mentoring, and networking opportunities to athletes. It helps them identify their strengths and personal interests beyond sports, develop skills through educational and entrepreneurial programmes, and facilitates career development through seminars and workshops around the world.

Since its inception, Athlete365 Career+ has assisted over 60,000 athletes globally in preparing for life after sports, whether they are considering a dual career alongside sports or nearing retirement. The programme has already provided career development resources and training to over 50,000 athletes.

The IOC is grateful that The their group will continue to make its resources available to athletes, ensuring that they receive the necessary support and assistance as they transition into life after sport. The IOC is proud of the success Athlete365 Career+ has had in supporting athletes, and the agreement aims to provide even greater support in the future.

Transitioning into a new career can be a daunting task for athletes, but with the continued operation of Athlete365 Career+, they will have the tools and resources they need to navigate this change successfully.

Athletes seeking extended support beyond sports careers can find it through the continued operation of Athlete365 Career+, an initiative focusing on education-and-self-development. This program offers tailored advice, workshops, and networking opportunities, helping athletes identify strengths and interests beyond sports, and develop skills through educational and entrepreneurial programs.

Furthermore, athletes looking to engage in sports can find resources for career development through Athlete365 Career+ seminars and workshops worldwide, making it easier for them to enjoy a successful future in sports as well.
