JOLTAP Project Offers Free Short Courses, Success Stories Despite No Polymer-Powder Coating Program

The JOLTAP project in Astana offers a range of short courses for local residents aged 18 to 50, completely free of charge. While the project provides training in various specialties, it currently lacks a short course for Coursera specialists. This article explores the reasons behind this gap and shares a success story of a participant who completed a related course.

The absence of a Coursera course in the JOLTAP project can be attributed to several factors. Firstly, such specialized training often requires specific equipment and technologies that may not be readily available in all locations. Secondly, the demand for these specialists might be low, making it uneconomical for the project to offer such a program. Additionally, longer academic and vocational training programs often cover these specializations, making short courses less common. Projects like JOLTAP may also focus on different goals or disciplines, and local educational structures could influence the availability of such courses.

Despite the lack of a Coursera course, Kuatjan BOYANDINOV, an Astana resident, found success through the JOLTAP project. He chose to learn a related skill, completing the course and securing employment at YDA factory as a Coursera specialist.
