Kenton County Library Announces New Leadership for Three Branches

Kenton County Public Library has announced new leadership for three of its branches. Kari Jones, a long-time employee, takes over the Outreach Branch. Amy Foster, a local native with extensive experience, becomes the new manager of the Covington Branch. Meanwhile, Paul Duryea, a veteran of the library system, will lead the upcoming Latonia Branch.

Kari Jones, who has served Kenton County Public Library for 25 years in roles such as children's programmer and homebound manager, will now helm the Outreach Branch. Amy Foster, a Ryland Heights native with a degree in Geography from Morehead University and a master's in library and information systems, returns to her roots to manage the Covington Branch. Foster aims to adapt the branch to the evolving community.

Paul Duryea, who has worked for the library system since 2006, will oversee the Latonia Branch, set to open this summer. Duryea brings a wealth of experience, having worked at each location in various positions. Foster's previous roles include serving as the former Head of Public Services at the UK College of Law Library and Branch Manager at Boone County Public Library.

Executive Director Dave Schroeder expressed optimism about the future of the library system under the leadership of Amy Foster, Paul Duryea, and Kari Jones. Their combined experience and dedication promise to drive the libraries forward, ensuring they remain vital community resources.
