Landshut Students Explore Careers on Enlightening 'Job Tour'
During their summer vacation, ten students from Landshut's 8th and 9th grades embarked on an enlightening 'Job Tour'. Organised by Angela Schedlbauer from the Economic Development Office, the tour aimed to provide career orientation and practical experiences by visiting various companies in the district.
The tour kicked off at Feistl Air Conditioning and Ventilation Technology GmbH & Co. KG, where students participated in a plant tour and workshop. Here, they learned about the assembly of components and even visited a construction site. The students then moved on to Ergolding, where Ergomar demonstrated bathwater and sauna technology. Students visited various departments and took part in a practical rescue exercise.
The tour continued at Schott AG in Landshut. Here, students gained insights into glass manufacturing, learning to stick and solder an LED cube, manufacture a housing, and coat metallic workpieces by galvanic gold plating. The tour concluded at SPIE SAG in Ergolding, where students learned about electrical installations and soldering processes.
The 'Job Tour', organised by Angela Schedlbauer, provided a unique opportunity for ten students to explore various careers and gain practical experiences. The tour covered a wide range of industries, from air conditioning technology to glass manufacturing and electrical installations, offering the students a well-rounded view of the job market.
