Leyla Lahouar Regrets Having to Drop Out of 'Let's Dance' Competition - Leyla Lahouar encounters challenges in competing

In her debut on "Let's Dance," Leyla Lahouar fell a tad short of impressing the audience. Sadly, she won't have a chance to rectify her performance as she's benched for this upcoming Friday's episode due to a pesky cough and sore throat. The 28-year-old TV star is currently confined to her bed, as RTL announced via a somber video message from Lahouar herself. "I've got some unfortunate news," she shared with a shattered expression, "I won't be gracing the stage this Friday."

After a consultation with the doc, the decision was made to take her out of the competition momentarily. "My doctor's ordered me to sideline any physical activities. He strongly advised me to rest and mend," she said, her voice cracking with emotion. She's been battling a persistent cough, a severe throat ache, and excessive sweating.

Lahouar's poignant feelings of remorse are palpable. "I'm truly sorry, especially for Sergiu. I've been weeping incessantly for the past two days because I'm so heartbroken," confessed the reality star. Unsurprisingly, her partner in crime, Sergiu Maruster, will also be sitting this one out.

It seems there won't be a temporary dance partner stepping in for Leyla on the "Let's Dance" floor.

She'd been eagerly anticipating the live show, especially as she'd been thoroughly enjoying rehearsing the dance. "I'd been quite optimistic things could stride forward brilliantly. So, it's even more wistful I can't dance this routine I adored," she shared.

With Leyla out of action, we'll only witness 13 contending dance pairs on the stage next Friday at 8:15 PM on RTL and live-streamed on RTL+. The show must go on, as one pair will still need to bid their farewells. Keep your eyes peeled on RTL to see who'll be taking their final bow. Seasoned para-swimmer Taliso Engel, who nabbed a direct ticket, is already secure in his spot for the second live show, partnered by the skillful Patricija Ionel.

Here's hoping Leyla recovers swiftly and can rejuvenate her dance journey in the near future!

Leyla had been diligently rehearsing her dance in the RTL studio, following the Right-to-Left (RTL) format. Despite her feelings of sadness, she admitted to missing her routine and her partner, Sergiu, particularly. In her absence, Taliso Engel, the seasoned para-swimmer, would be performing his dance with Patricija Ionel.
