Manitoba Welcomes 62 Skilled Workers in Latest Strategic Draw

Manitoba's Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) recently held a strategic recruitment initiative, inviting 62 skilled workers from outside Canada to apply for provincial nomination. This initiative aims to fill labor gaps in Manitoba with qualified foreign talent.

The MPNP's Skilled Worker Overseas Stream draw on May 15 targeted candidates with a strong connection to the province. This connection could be through family, friends, previous education or work experience in Manitoba, or an Invitation to Apply from the MPNP. To be eligible, candidates had to score at least 60 out of 100 points on the province's assessment grid and receive an official Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA) as part of a strategic recruitment initiative.

The lowest score for a candidate in this draw was 626. Notably, eight candidates also had a valid Express Entry profile number and job validation code, indicating their potential for quick federal processing if nominated.

The MPNP's strategic recruitment initiatives continue to play a crucial role in addressing Manitoba's labor market needs. This latest draw demonstrates the province's commitment to welcoming skilled workers from around the world, providing them with a pathway to permanent residency and contributing to Manitoba's economy.
