Marburg Honors Equality Champions: OUR!Stage & Omas Against the Right
The City Council of Marburg has announced the recipients of the Marburg Equality Prize 2025. This biennial award, endowed with 2,500 euros, goes to two local organisations this year: the OUR!Stage collective and the Network Omas against the Right.
The OUR!Stage collective has been recognised for its efforts to strengthen FLINTA* (female, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans, and agender) voices in the cultural sector. The collective creates new spaces for these individuals to express their diversity, fostering a more inclusive artistic community.
The Network Omas against the Right has also been honoured for its commitment to democracy, equality, and respect for all people. This organisation sets an example against hate and incitement, advocating for gender equality and diversity in the city.
The Marburg Equality Prize 2025 recognises the significant contributions of these two organisations to promoting gender equality and diversity in Marburg. Their dedication to creating a more inclusive city is commendable and deserving of this prestigious award.
