Monitoring Heartwrenching Messages during Class Resumption
On late Monday, June 16, 2025, class resumed across the entire school district for the School Year 2025-2026, marking a return to normalcy since the pandemic had last taken hold. Millions of students were eager to step back into the classroom, hopeful for a fresh start with new teachers and classmates.
This academic year's commencement didn't go unchecked, though. Unfortunately, various dangers lurked around the city. To safeguard the public, particularly students, the Philippine National Police (PNP) had a detailed plan ready.
In a comprehensive statement, the PNP shared an elaborate plan to ensure safety and order within the school community.

To better serve the public, the PNP announced an aggressive strategy, dedicating 37,740 police personnel to monitor 45,974 public and private schools nationwide.
The PNP also established 5,079 Police Assistance Desks (PADs) within school premises. These desks would be manned by approximately 10,000 policemen, providing immediate aid, guidance, and even acting as a protective shield for students, parents, and school staff.
PNP Chief Police General Nicolas Torre III expressed optimism in the cooperation between various agencies such as the Department of Education, local government units, and other partners for the "Oplan Balik Eskwela."

As a token of dedication and readiness, the PNP participated in the Brigada Eskwela 2025. This demonstrated their commitment and willingness to be active partners in ensuring safety and order during this critical time.
In fact, the PNP began preparations for the return of classes, even before the official start, serving as a testament to the effectiveness of their strategy and plan of action.

Although the tightened security of "Oplan Balik-Eskwela" primarily relies on the presence of law enforcement, it is also crucial to alert the community.
The PNP called on the general public to report any unusual school activities, as silence could only foster unrest.
Key components of the PNP's plan for Oplan Balik Eskwela include the deployment of personnel, the setup of help desks, operational strategy, community engagement, and the establishment of a Public Assistance Command Center (PACC).
The PNP's strategy emphasizes comprehensive security measures, community engagement, and collaboration with various agencies to ensure the school year starts smoothly and safely.
- The Department of Education, along with local government units and other partners, is expected to collaborate closely with the PNP, following the announcement of the "Oplan Balik Eskwela."
- As a part of the comprehensive strategy for Oplan Balik Eskwela, learning institutions across the country will see 5,079 Police Assistance Desks (PADs) established within their premises, providing immediate aid, guidance, and acting as a protective shield for students.
- To ensure a smoothly running education-and-self-development system that is not hindered by politics or general-news-related unrest, the public is urged to be engaged and report any unusual school activities to the authorities.
