Multiple Violations: Crime Investigation Targets Red-Yar Said Nursing Home "Long Life"

In the city of Krasnoyarsk, a criminal case has been launched against a senior care facility known as "Dolgoletie." This facility, located on Ul. Semafonoyi, has been found to have numerous breaches of duty.

According to investigators, a commercial care company for the elderly and disabled was set up in Krasnoyarsk from February 28, 2024. This company, however, didn't possess the necessary licenses to provide qualified medical assistance.

The retirement home entered into a contract with the private medical organization OOO "MCC 'Zdravie," but both entities lacked the required licenses to offer professional medical help.

Residents weren't provided with primary medical care, chronic patients didn't receive proper treatment, and a nurse worked in shifts. Essentially, caregivers were looking after the elderly, while recommended medical care was scarcely provided. Some medications were dispensed without a doctor's prescription, and no documents verifying the administration of drugs to residents were available. Some residents suffered from mental illnesses in an active phase, had fractures. In February 2025, there were 19 residents living in the facility.

During the inspection, the prosecutor called for an emergency medical team to help an elderly woman suffering from a hypertensive crisis and a gangrenous, non-healing wound.

Additional violations of fire safety and sanitary-epidemiological requirements were also discovered.

The prosecutor's office stated that "Dolgoletie" is part of the notoriously known "Rameli" network of senior care homes from Kemerovo. In June 2024, their care home "Valentina" was forced to halt operations by the prosecutor due to complaints from residents about the lack of food, medication, and medical care, as well as the brutal and irresponsible behavior of staff.

Despite the ongoing criminal case, the entrepreneurs have continued their business.

Staff members of the retirement home have faced administrative penalties for the breaches. The prosecutor's lawsuit seeking the closure of the retirement home is currently in court.

Additional Insight: Despite numerous cases of senior care facilities facing scrutiny globally for compliance issues, there is no available information regarding any parallels with the "Rameli" network of care homes. To investigate the operational specifics of "Rameli," reviewing its official registries or licensure documents would be necessary. Always verify jurisdictional legal proceedings through primary sources.
