Park University Expands Its Board of Trustees with Three New Appointees

Park University's Board of Trustees has welcomed three new members to serve a three-year term, effective July 1, 2022. The new members are Terry Calaway, Ed.D., Scott Jackman, and Timothy Pachasa.

Terry Calaway, a retired higher education leader, is currently a professor of practice in the Community College Leadership Program within Kansas State University's College of Education. Calaway served as the president of Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas from 2007-2013.

Scott Jackman, the president of the U.S. division and vice president of sales and marketing for Deveron, an agriculture technology company based in Toronto, Canada, is also joining the board. Jackman earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Webster University and a master's degree in operational art and military history from the School of Advanced Military Studies at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He served in the U.S. Army from 1993-2015, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. Jackman was also the founder and chief executive officer of AtlasTeam from 2017-2019.

Timothy Pachasa, a resident of Phoenix, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in management from Park University and is working toward a Master of Science degree in management and leadership. Pachasa served nearly 25 years in the Air Force. He is currently the director of arsenal operations for Black Rifle Coffee Co., in San Antonio. Pachasa is also the founder, CEO, and host of CAPE Lead, a leadership-centric podcast based in Phoenix. Additionally, Pachasa served as the president of the Tactical Air Control Party Association.

The Board of Trustees at Park University has also elected several members to continue their service for another term. Mara Cohara, J.D., was re-elected to the Board for a second three-year term. Mitzi Cardenas, Kansas City, Mo., was also re-elected for a second term. No information was provided about N. Lynn Craghead, Kansas City, Mo., who was elected Treasurer of the Board. Sarah Moe, Kansas City, Mo., was elected Secretary of the Board.

Lesley Ryan Miller will continue as Board Chair, with Amanda Teo as Vice Chair. Rahul Ballal, Femi Obi, and Scott Young have been elected as Corporate Officers for the 2025-2026 term. The list of trustees includes returning members like Rahul Ballal, Lesley Ryan Miller, Amanda Teo, Greg Woods, and others like Ivy Alphonse-Crean '07, Sara Ofosu-Amaah, Nadia Fenton-Rahim, Anna Sinaiko, and Kelly Caiazzo.
