Philadelphia Blues Society Kicks Off Inaugural Festival Oct. 11
The Philadelphia Blues Society is set to host its inaugural blues festival on Oct. 11 at Temple University's Ambler Campus. The event, organized in part by Jamey Reilly of Jamey's House of Music, promises a day filled with music, food, and craft vendors. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased online.
The festival, which encourages attendees to bring blankets and lawn chairs, will not allow outside food or drinks. Instead, visitors can enjoy a variety of food trucks, craft vendors, and a beer garden. The event is made possible by generous sponsors supporting the Philadelphia Blues Society, a 501c3 non-profit organization.
The music lineup features local, national, and internationally renowned blues musicians and bands. Headlining the event is Clarence Spady, a renowned blues guitarist and singer with an international following. The Philadelphia Blues Society, founded in 2023, aims to promote and preserve the blues in the Greater Philadelphia region.
