Samsung & Coinbase Revolutionize Crypto Access for Galaxy Users
Samsung and Coinbase have joined forces, opening up the world of cryptocurrencies to millions of Galaxy users. The collaboration, announced in late July 2025, integrates Samsung Pay with the Coinbase app, marking Coinbase's largest consumer crypto distribution deal and Samsung's most significant push into digital assets.
The partnership allows users to access Coinbase One, a premium membership service, directly through their Galaxy phones. Initially, users in the United States, Brazil, and parts of Europe will benefit from this integration, with plans to expand to more countries in the coming months.
The collaboration will also see Coinbase services embedded directly into Samsung Wallet by October. This means Galaxy users can buy, trade, and manage their cryptocurrency within the Samsung Wallet app, without needing separate apps or accounts. The Samsung Wallet uses multiple security layers, including biometric authentication and Samsung Knox, to protect users' information and assets.
Following the announcement, Coinbase stock rose approximately 1%, contributing to a 20% weekly gain, mirroring a broader cryptocurrency market rally. Samsung's partnership with Coinbase puts it ahead of competitors like Apple in the mobile crypto space. Galaxy device owners in the U.S. will receive a free three-month subscription to Coinbase One and a $25 credit after their first trade through Samsung Wallet.
The Samsung and Coinbase partnership is set to revolutionize the way millions of Galaxy users interact with cryptocurrencies. With enhanced security, ease of use, and a wide range of services, this collaboration positions both companies at the forefront of the digital asset landscape.
