SAP and OpenAI are teaming up to revolutionize German public administration, schools, and universities with AI. Currently, many public administration processes are still manual or paper-based, lagging in AI adoption. This new cooperation seeks to change that, with a planned official launch in 2026. Key technical components, including cloud software from Microsoft and high-performance chips from Nvidia, will be used, ensuring adherence to strict German data security standards.
The goal is ambitious: enabling millions of employees to use AI securely, automating record-keeping, and speeding up services. SAP will significantly bolster its cloud capacities in Germany, deploying 4,000 GPUs for AI applications. This will create one of the largest national AI cloud installations in Europe, furthering the country's AI capabilities.
