Scottish Agency Tops Global Political Comms Awards With 'Nature Calls' Campaign
The sixth annual Polaris Leadership Summit and Awards took place in London recently, focusing on 'The New Age of Intelligence' and its impact on politics and communication. The event, organized by Polaris Advisory Partners, also celebrated creativity in global political and public sector communication, with Scottish agency Always Be Content taking home the most Gold Polaris Awards for their 'Nature Calls' campaign.
The summit explored serious issues affecting democracies, including rising online political violence and the influence of emerging technologies. Panellists discussed the need for agility and creativity in digital campaigns, given strict spending limits in Europe. They also highlighted the growing influence of content creators, influencers, and platforms like TikTok on politics and elections.
The 'Nature Calls' campaign, which addressed the issue of flushed wet wipes causing blockages, was a standout success. It increased Scottish Water's recognition by 69% and reduced annual blockages by 14%. The campaign won multiple Gold Polaris Awards, reflecting the high standard of entries from around the world.
The Polaris Awards ceremony recognised winners from various countries for their innovative and effective communication strategies. The event underscored the importance of adaptability and creativity in political and public sector communication, particularly in the face of evolving technologies and online threats.
