Students in Yakutia transition to online exam preparation

Revamped Report:

Hey there! It seems more and more students are swinging into the digital realm for their exam prep, if the numbers don't lie. According to Yota's analysis of anonymous user data from the first two months of this year, there's been a whopping 39% surge in users of online exam prep services compared to last year.

We got the lowdown on the top websites and apps helping students ace the Unified State Exam (USE) and General Education Exam (GEE), such as those offering demo tasks, different subject trials, and online schools for exam readiness. These platforms are leaving no stones unturned, with a staggering 39% increase in users since 2025!

Activity is definitely heating up in Yakutia too, where there was a 134% jump in visits to exam prep websites during the just-ended school year compared to the 2023-2024 academic year - that's triple the traffic we're talking about here!

Interestingly, 63% of those studying online are females, but it's the boys preparing for the USE online who've shown a 23% larger increase than their female counterparts compared to last year.

Guess what? Megafon analysts noticed that students took a break from their studies during the May holidays. Post holiday, students in Yakutia quickly buckled down and caught up on their studies until the exams. One might assume that the volume of traffic in the first 11 days of May would be a lot higher than the following equivalent period - you'd be wrong! The volume of traffic was almost 2.5 times less during the first period. But come the exams, students are still flocking to the prep websites.

It appears that students put in the hard yards during weekdays and take it easy on the weekends.

An analysis of website activity for exam preparation between 2023 and 2025 reveals that Yakutian students tend to ignore their exam prep during the summer - there's a significant dip in the number of users on educational websites in July and August. Last academic year, students started preparing actively in February, but this year, they started in September.

To top it off, students from Magadan, Salekhard, Birobidzhan, Grozny, and Pskov are the most active in online exam preparation, leading the pack in average traffic consumed on educational resources.

While city-specific data isn't readily available for the period between 2023 and 2025, the growing online learning market (which has seen a jaw-dropping 900% increase since 2000), the expanding test preparation market (projected to grow at a rate of 7.9% from 2025 to 2029), and the increasing online exam proctoring market indicate that online exam preparation is likely to witness increased popularity where online learning is more widespread due to factors such as accessibility, affordability, and digital innovation.

Education-and-self-development and learning continue to be a significant priority for students, as indicated by the surge in the use of online exam preparation services. platforms offering demo tasks, different subject trials, and online schools for exam readiness have seen a 39% increase in users since 2025, suggesting that the growing online learning market is set to witness increased popularity.
