Key Responsibilities
As a Remote Support Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing technical support and troubleshooting issues. Your day-to-day tasks will involve handling customer support tickets via Help Scout, troubleshooting WordPress/plugin/server issues, documenting bugs, guiding users through setup/configuration, updating knowledge base articles, and assisting with feature testing. You will also collaborate closely with the development team to report bugs, suggest improvements, and assist with testing new releases.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in WordPress or similar technical support roles.
- A strong understanding of WordPress, PHP, HTML, React, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with debugging tools, browser dev tools, and error log analysis.
- Excellent written English and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests.
- Customer-focused problem-solving skills.
- Experience with booking or scheduling plugins is a plus, as is knowledge of MySQL, server administration, and REST APIs.
