Ozzy Osbourne is set to say goodbye to the stage with a grand spectacle in July.

- Surprised spectators confront exorbitant ticket costs

In July, Ozzy Osbourne, the iconic frontman of Black Sabbath, is set to say his goodbyes with a one-day metal extravaganza. However, this event comes with a hefty price tag. Fans are up in arms about the hefty fees for the "Back to the Beginning" show on July 5 in Birmingham, with tickets ranging from 236 to 1,000 euros.

Tickets for the prime spots, like the Golden Circle and side-stage seats, set fans back around 500 euros each, while a standing ticket will cost 315 euros. Various VIP packages are also available, with prices ranging from about 400 to an eye-watering 3,500 euros. Currently, only presale tickets are available, requiring fans to register on Ozzy's website or mailing list. General sale begins on February 14 at 10:00 AM.

But what's the purpose of these hefty fees? The earnings from this concert won't line the pockets of the musicians but will be donated to three worthy causes: Cure Parkinson's, Birmingham Children's Hospital, and Acorn Children's Hospice.

Fan frustration is boiling over on social media, with many complaining about the lengthy digital queues and the steep prices on Ticketmaster. One disgruntled fan quipped, "I don't want to hear anything if the pop girls are asking for 100 pounds for a ticket." Another took to Twitter to say, "Black Sabbath, who are asking for 420 pounds for non-VIP seats, are really crazy."

Despite the criticism, Ozzy's farewell concert is shaping up to be a gargantuan metal showdown. The concert in his hometown marks the final performance of the 76-year-old TV star, who revealed his Parkinson's disease diagnosis in 2020. Ozzy will first take the stage for a solo set before joining Black Sabbath for a reunion. The lineup boasts a star-studded performance of metal legends, including Metallica, Slayer, Alice in Chains, Gojira, and Lamb of God.

But Ozzy's farewell show isn't just about Black Sabbath. A supergroup consisting of members from Limp Bizkit, Van Halen, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Faith No More has been assembled especially for this event. This all-day metal spectacle promises to send off Ozzy in style, even with the hefty price tag energizing the outrage of some fans.

Fans were dismayed to discover that the tickets for Ozzy Osbourne's farewell concert, particularly for prime spots, were rather expensive, leading some to label the prices as "crazy." Despite the high ticket costs, many are still looking forward to attending the "Farewell concert," which includes performances from Metallica, Slayer, Alice in Chains, Gojira, Lamb of God, and a supergroup created specifically for this event.
