TU Braunschweig Seeks EU Partners for Teacher Education Collaboration

The Technical University of Braunschweig (TU Braunschweig) is seeking to strengthen its international ties in teacher education. The goal is to collaborate in two key areas: joint research and student exchange. Vice President Katja Koch has stated that the university is looking for preferred partners with similar structures in teacher education, with a focus on European teacher academies supported by institutions like the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) and TU Braunschweig.

Recently, a delegation from the University of Tampere visited TU Braunschweig on January 16 and 17 to discuss potential collaboration. The two universities are exploring joint research proposals in teacher education, with Vice President Professor Katja Koch leading the development of concrete ideas for joint EU research proposals. During the visit, initial ideas were discussed on how to scientifically accompany student labs and an exchange of teachers was proposed. President Professor Anke Kaysser-Pyzalla welcomed the Finnish delegation and representatives from both universities.

The challenges in teacher education are similar across Europe, making a collaborative approach beneficial. TU Braunschweig aims to foster cooperation in teacher education across Europe through these partnerships, which are supported by institutions like the BIBB and TU Braunschweig.

The Technical University of Braunschweig is committed to internationalizing teacher education through collaboration with European partners. The university is actively seeking preferred partners with similar structures in teacher education to work together on joint research and student exchange.
