Park University Appoints Donald Chrusciel as Vice President of Finance and Administration

Donald Chrusciel, Ph.D., has been named the new Vice President of Finance and Administration (VPFA) at Park University, effective from August 28, 2023. Chrusciel brings a wealth of experience in higher education to his new role.

Chrusciel has spent his entire professional career in the realm of higher education. Prior to joining Park University, he served as vice president of finance and administrative services at Bakersfield College in California. In his new position, Chrusciel will oversee the financial, accounting, and administrative operations of the University. He will also be responsible for strategic delivery, fiscal services, financial reporting and controls, fiscal policies and regulations, cash management, and borrowing agreements.

Chrusciel's responsibilities at Park University will extend to the Office of Human Resources, Office of Information Technology Services, and Office of Facilities. He has a proven track record in these areas, having previously served as vice chancellor of financial and administrative services with the Kansas City region's Metropolitan Community College system since June 2018.

Chrusciel's educational background is impressive. He earned his doctorate degree in industrial education and technology from Iowa State University. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from California State University, Hayward (now CSU, East Bay), and a Master of Science degree in management information systems/operations management from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Before his tenure at Bakersfield College, Chrusciel spent 14.5 years as the business services director of facilities planning and management at Iowa State University. He also held the position of vice president for administration and finance at the University of Central Oklahoma.
