Little Sarah Kittoe, a 10-year-old powerhouse from the UK, recently touched down in Ghana with her family and a mission. This multi-talented author, artist, and philanthropist is dedicated to transforming the library of St. Paul's Methodist Basic School in Tema, Ghana - a school close to her heart, as it's her father's alma mater.
During her two-week visit, she graced some of Ghana's leading media platforms, sharing her remarkable tale of resilience, purpose, determination, friendship, and family values, all beautifully portrayed in her three books. Her meetings with renowned Ghanaians like Doreen Andoh, Kafui Dey, Samson Lardy Ayenini, and others were highlights of her tour.
However, the condition of the library at St. Paul's Methodist Basic School left her feeling disheartened. Using her London library as a reference, she realized the Ghanaian library was cramped and lacking in relevant books for the students. Determined to make a difference, Sarah decided to organize a fundraiser back in the UK and use a portion of her book sales to refurbish the library on her next visit to Ghana.
Her father, Albert Kittoe, wholeheartedly supports Sarah's efforts, commenting that he wasn't surprised by her dedication, knowing how sensitive she is to such social issues.
