In the world of international science competitions, Kazakhstan continues to make a name for itself. The 55th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO-2025) held in Palaiseau, France, saw the Kazakh team bring home an impressive haul of five medals.

The team, composed of top students from prestigious schools such as Nazarbayev Intellectual School, Spectrum International School, and NURORDA School-Lyceum in Astana and Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Almaty, demonstrated their high intellectual potential on the global stage.

The team members, including Amirbek Azatbekov, Bekaysyl Eylubai, Amir Pshenbaev, Nurguль Egenbergenova, Artur Kim, and coaches Dr. PhD, Assistant Professor at Suleyman Demirel University, Samat Maksutov, and Alisher Yerkebaev, worked tirelessly to achieve this feat.

Among the medals won, Kazakhstan secured two silver and three bronze, a testament to their consistent showcase of high-level preparation and scientific potential in IPhO.

The victory didn't stop at the IPhO. At the International Scientific Physics Olympiad (ISPhO) held in the same year, a student from Astana won two medals, and the Kazakh team secured first place overall.

Kazakhstan's participation in these prestigious competitions reflects a strong tradition of excellence and institutional support for gifted physics students. The country's success has been widely recognised and celebrated by Kazakh news agencies, further underscoring their achievements and growing reputation in the physics community.
