Progroup Kicks Off 2024 Apprenticeship Induction Week
Progroup, one of Europe's leading manufacturers of corrugated board and paper, based in Landau, Germany, recently hosted an induction week for its new recruits from across the country. During this week, 17 young individuals began their apprenticeships or dual studies at Progroup in August.
The induction week was packed with a variety of activities designed to introduce new apprentices to the company, its values, and its work environment.
Components of an Apprenticeship Induction Week
The week commenced with an introduction to Progroup's history, mission, and values. This helped the new apprentices understand the company's culture and expectations.
Safety procedures, company policies, and legal requirements were also covered to ensure a safe work environment. Hands-on training in specific job roles was a crucial part of the induction process, preparing the apprentices for their future roles.
Team-building exercises were designed to foster teamwork and camaraderie among new apprentices and existing staff. Many organizations, including Progroup, assign mentors to guide new apprentices throughout their training period.
